It is a matter of principle, and if not, then it becomes a matter of expedience, as it is so often around the world. What separates us from those we would seek to lead is our principles -- if you don't have them then you are not leading, you are merely killing and hoping to dominate -- which is precisely the approach taken by people like Saddam. Keep him company in hell if you like. But don't ask America to renounce its principles.
