Call me a barbarian but i would be saving the life of your family in such a scenario. Now having said that, i think torture is worthless and unnecessary 99.9% of the time. Good for you Mike. Would you rape his daughter in front of him if that's what it took to save the world? Would you decapitate his wife? Maybe you'd castrate his son too? Kill his dog? Where would you draw the line, or would you draw a line? Whoa, I just had a thought. What if you were wrong and he wasn't a terrorist at all? I guess that wouldn't matter because, after all, your motives were pure. But what if he told you lies in order to save himself? Could he be that smart? I guess some people don't understand the sacrifices torturers make for the common good. Maybe that's why the experts say the process is inefficient, misleading and a waste of time. Of course they get confused with reality and forget the lessons we learn watching television. Get a grip. Ed
