DLJdirect has NTF funds but there is a $35 fee if you sell in less than 6 months. Looks like Schwab has a similar restriction. With Waterhouse there is no penalty except when you exceed the limit. I am not looking to trade mutual funds as I do stocks. It would be nice to have more free trades but the $25 fee is not that high if one were to exceed the limit. I can't see making very many trend shifts in a year. The midcap tend will probably be around for six months if not more. One could stay in three funds and make a couple of changes. It still looks good to me for funds. I am looking for a "full service" discount broker to consolidate all of my accounts, (stocks, mutuals). I get too many statements! Looks like I will have two accounts for now, DLJdirect for stock and Waterhouse for funds. (I don't like talking to real people so I guess that puts schwab out) Fast, well designed web pages is where it is at ( I like DLJdirect because they have there own browser which speeds the process)
