Trump continues to refuse to feed hungry American families. This isn't a passive refusal, this is an active refusal with intent to cause harm. Trying to blackmail Democrats to give up the ACA and affordable insurance and using a core food program to do so is a very bad look. This won't end well for the Republicans.

Judge Orders Trump Administration to Fully Fund Food Stamps This Month

The Justice Department later said it would appeal, leaving the program known as SNAP in limbo.



A federal judge ordered the Trump administration on Thursday to fund food stamps in full for roughly 42 million low-income Americans, after admonishing the government for delaying aid under the nation’s largest anti-hunger program during the shutdown.

But the Justice Department almost immediately told the court it would appeal the ruling. That left uncertain if and when poor families would receive their benefits this month to buy groceries, and how much they would be sent, exposing them again to the risk of severe financial hardship.
