I understand it's MSFT's party line, but It's ridiculous to paint MSFT as this center of high tech in the US. Like everyone else in the PC industry, they're snake oil salesmen. MSFT could disappear today and someone else in the US would write an OS. I think a VC firm could put up about 20-50 million and have an excellent OS written within 1-2 years. In the big picture, Intel is important to american computing. MSFT is not. FWIW Andy
