The United States, shifting course, will not rush to bring North Korea's nuclear arms program to the attention of the U.N. Security Council for possible international action, U.S. officials said Monday.

Of course not. The adminstration would like to stick to its subtle point that the UN is irrelevant in case it fails to win UN support for its aims of attacking Iraq.

Al, one day its one way; the next its another. I think it reflects the continuing split in the administration. Apparently, it worsens.......also I understand K. Rove has taken the place of Cheney as close advisor to Bush.

The truth is they have their hands full with Iraq and Afghanistan. NK is becoming a major hassle for them I suspect.
