"Adaptec DVD Recording Software Now Available:" biz.yahoo.com Man I hope Adaptec markets the hell out of CD/R DVD/R as the floppy/Zip replacement as the removable media of choice for at least the next decade. Adaptec will have a substantial lock on the recording software from their prior acquisitions, and we're all familiar with the I/O requirements for moving gigabytes of info. Look what the infatuation with 100MB Zips did for Iomega's stock. I always expected IOM to fall bigtime as CD/R DVD/R ramped up. I've always felt this area was Adaptec's Trojan Horse.
