Dear Trey: You may have misunderstood my previous comments about M.Burke. You are absolutely right that I can't blame anyone not even myself, because I have been long MU with an average price of around $27 at the time when M.Burke was calling this company and it's management every word in the book (he most likely still is!!!). MB had repeatedly said and was arguing very arrogantly over the fact that MU would go into bankruptcy by 04/97, which was very irrational and mis-leading to a lot of other un-sophisticated investors, especially coming from someone who supposedly had worked for a large fund. Now, we all bet on stocks to go up or down, including myself (I have been long and short on MU several times during the last couple of years), but we don't have to go out to war arguing over it and bad-mouthing every MU shareholder, it's management and/or the analysts following the stock. We all know, some of these analysts are very unreliable, but in all fairness, it is totally wrong to bad-mouth them at a time when they can not even defend themselves on this thread. After all, I don't think they even care to do so, since they know they have the power to move markets around, and M.Burke does NOT and neither do I or anyone else on this thread for that fact. Anyway, you have been a valuable contributor to this thread, and I wish you good luck on your investments. |
