Because the last major ATM contract with attached with $ awarded to anyone I have seen was NN 300+ million US with SBC in
August 1998.
Take pronto project for example, it is not in SBC interest to be specific and tell ATT what exactly they are doing, so ATT could take advantage of this and follow.
Why FT should tell the competition how many 36170 they are going to install in their network.
FT stated many hundreds of switches.
Price: typically 0.5-1 million Cd, closer to 1 millions for big guy like FT, which has more ambitious plans (more application, used by carrier, more cards and higher price for switch)
