Thanks. This was very timely. Much our house is automated with Google and Alexa. And I personally know the principle AWS architect for Alexa team. Yesterday I was thinking of calling him to ask him how come Alexa has gotten so much worse in her hearing and processing. But then I realized it will probably become a 2 hour conversation as we discuss various issues both specific to Alexa and general to the industry and it will just go on and I thought better not to bother.

Of the two, Google is more capable and in some ways better. But Alexa is user friendlier and pleasant.
