As a historical comments, it does lead into what is happening. And would fit both your comments, which I agree, and my comments. As it is, the DOW is still overvalued, but can stay that way for many reasons. If the FED does increase liquidity, gold will die, big time.

The real problem is the MARK, and the government in charge. Once they start spending. They will blow the mark down, and the Dollar up again. Strike two for gold.

Also, what happens when the EU currencies unite, how long before they all start selling they Gold?
