No. 1 chip maker Intel (INTC: news, chart, profile) is another top pick because it's been gaining ground in the price war and product rivalry against rival Advanced Micro Devices (AMD: news, chart, profile). "AMD was taking share, but Intel continues to take their share back," Drake said. "They've been able to spend more research and development money, and continue to come out with faster and cheaper chips." Shares rose $1.18 to $33.86.
