EASY-9! Hey I know! I was a grotie troup out of Lackland. Full of "why should this be happening to me crap" as I served my superiors rather snottily in those first years. I Palace Chased at first opportunity when that program was conceived, but I guess for me it must have been those Air Force Now flicks <g>, I reupped, took an ART position and became a grotie staff sergeant before most of the lifers in my shop figured out that I was now a nose pickin civilian weekend warrior. That twisted quite a few jaws. A field commission a couple years later helped too. 21 years later I had the profound good sense to see the writing on the wall. Bush signed my final Order, and it is now framed and properly collecting dust in some corner of the memorabilia room of our vacation home. 21 years is a good long time, especially in Mother MAC! God Rest her soul. JP-4 was my nose inhalant of choice.
