i promise not to bring it up again til after an offical announcement. i don't think this affects
the credibility of the roadmap or the further development of MIPS based boxes. it's just
that there are more fools every quarter that want their wintel, and growth is not a bad
thing. isn't speculation 5/16ths the fun of investing? don't you think SGI can find a more
profitable play in the wintel market than VRML? can i sell you some "interactive
television"?

Vincent,

You make me laugh. Keep it up.

Simply speculation, but:

You have mid-back length, wavy black hair, tied up in a ponytail. You have numerous tattoos, bodypiercings and wear sandals to all formal functions just to iritate your well to do conventional friends. You are the center of attention at social gatherings, spouting what you know about technology and how it applies to art. You confidently impress your friends who aren't quite as in touch with technology with your wild speculations about company x or technology x, etc. They listen intently, and enjoy your enthusiasm. You imagine that you could run SGI, or any other fortune 500 company better than it's existing management does. You drive a 1990 Nissan Sentra. The right rear wheel is a mini-spare. Your slightly disheveled, unshaven appearance is a result of the 48 hours you just spent continuously staring at a CRT in you bedroom. You own no stock in SGI. You have never purchased a single share of any stock in your life. You do however, own 267 shares of PG willed to you by your grandmother.

How'd I do?
