I guess that's a huge part of the Democrats' playbook. Throw a lot of flagrant fouls at Bush, and hope one of them causes him to fumble the ball.

It is not just a huge part, it IS the playbook. It's all they've got. Personal insults, ad hominem attacks against Bush. That's it.

Curiously, by all accounts (e.g., Woodward's book, and now Frum's) the notion that Bush is anything other than extremely intelligent is just false.

The guy has a laser-like focus, doesn't give a flip about the insults. He just keeps on rolling, doing what needs to be done.

I'm not sure, but I BELIEVE it is going to be a long, dry spell for the Democrats -- unless they come up with a plan. And it damned well involve an aggressive national defense, or I don't think the People will fall for it.
