Winter Brings Higher Gasoline Prices Dateline: Camarillo, California Gasoline prices jumped nearly a penny a gallon nationwide during the past two weeks, reflecting an increase in crude oil prices, an industry analyst said Sunday. The average retail price for all grades, including taxes, was $1.2834 per gallon, according to Friday's Lundberg Survey of Gasoline Prices at 10,000 gas stations nationwide. The primary reason for the increase is a seasonal boost in crude prices of about $1 per barrel, said analyst Trilby Lundberg.
