Sure John, you and the financial engineer should get together and write a law text, since you know all and understand all. Me, I just follow the news. I'll admit to biase against Microsoft, and can give a variety of reasons. But, I wouldn't pretend to argue that my reasons would have any standing in a court of law.
Of course, the little episode with the mac is somewhat obscure, and the story is very terse. I wouldn't pass judgement, though it sounds very much like the kind of trouble you get in with Windows apps and "DLL hell", vis. infoworld.com . Presumably, the mac doesn't work that way, though I'm not particularly wild about how the mac does work either. Odd, the Mac popularized xerox gui work, and Windows cloned the Wac, but the Xerox guys actually understood something about operating systems and had good underlying technology beneath the surface gloss. You can look it up, not that I'd expect you to, since Ayn Rand didn't write about it.
