Bruce, re options: I have been largely unsuccessful playing big options bets, i.e. leaps on AMAT and other stocks I thought were a sure thing. Recently I make small covered call plays on stocks I don't love <bg> which usually yield pizza money only and I'm doing better with those. The less I care the better I do.

PS: I've even sold some naked puts. InteractiveBrokers' low commission of $1 per contract helps. That's a penny a share.
