Gals and Guys - Charles Schwab been berry, berry, good to me.
Tell you what. I was sitting in the office early last week. My gal from the Schwab options rings me up. I am thinking - I am nowhere near a margin call. She says, 'You should come to Chicago for our options conference.' I said, 'I saw an advert about that. Sounds interesting. But - jokingly - unless you pay my airfare, and hotel, I will have to stay put.' She says, 'We are going to pay your airfare and hotel, and dinner out two nights.' I said, 'Done.'
So I got on the plane noonish Tuesday at Washington Reagan - dinner at Gibson's steakhouse Tuesday night, options class all day Wednesday morning - to include the VIX. (Thought of you Big.) Tour of the CBOE - including trading floor - Wednesday afternoon. Dinner out on the account of the Options Institute (subset organization to the CBOE.) More options class Thursday morning. Schwab has developed a host of really fine options searches. Just bought Options Express." Ask me about vega hedging.

Thank you Schwab. Thank you CBOE/Options Institute. Classy. Very classy. Well I have been a client since '97. Big - is such a plug allowed on the BBR? (F'em if it ain't.)
C'est moi on the CBOE floor in front of the "open outcry" VIX pit. VIX and SPX are the only two open outcries left on the CBOE floor. All else gone electronic.

Oh. The new Marilyn Monroe statue was just across Michigan Ave from the hotel. (Michigan Ave is the "main drag" in the Windy City - very chic.) Very interesting. I heard about it, but figured in was in New York. Why would it be in Chicago? Joe DiMaggio was very POed when that clip was shot. He was in attendance for the filming. Took about 20 retakes. For those not around in the '60's, MM was Mrs. "Joltin Joe" for a few years back then. Legend has it he put a rose on her grave periodically (every day?).
POed that my Phillies got blown out in the first round. JD&MM below. They say he was shy/reserved. I don't think I would go for my Mrs. being filmed like that. She is much better looking than MM. "What's that you say Mrs. Robinson. 'Joltin Joe' has left and gone away. Hey, hey hey. Hey hey hey."
