hcm1943, well, i can't account for how and/or why you got the message... "A few days ago I got a strange message regarding my desktop and to click to reactiveate my normal desktop which I did. Everything reverted to normal except that now I only have to click once to open a folder or program. What happened???" ... but at least i showed you how to change back and forth from one-click to double-click. out of curiosity, how did you leave it? one click? :) mark
