"should the Government require a citizen to declare faith in a God even if that citizen does not believe in a God."

It is interesting that we become so arrogant as to require something "a declaration of faith in God" when coercing such a declaration is forbidden by God.

I vote no on the this amendment.

"Whether or not adherence to any particular values is "in line with" God is purely a matter of perception, which makes it a difficult matter for discussion."

We (or at least I) were not discussing a particular value. I did give some examples of principles (charity, mercy, equality) but I didn't think any one would object to those.

"The problem here stems from the phrase "in line with",

That's all I'm sayin'
