Oh, sorry. I'm going out briefly for a little while and had a few mins before we leave so dropped by and replied to the first thing that caught my eye w/o reading very closely, sorry.

But, joining you in nit-picking mode, I suggest that Laz's ""The gov'ts within the US should not be "in line" with ANY God. Or gods. Or lack thereof."" isn't fairly described as an interpretation "which gives the government an anti-God obligation."

An anti-God obligation would, I think, entail such duties as making speeches and generating slogans arguing for and espousing atheism -- or at the very least, would suggest that our public servants not make such incessant references to the almighty as they do now.

I don't object to their doing that, mind you, since it's their opinion and sentiments and prayers they're offering.

I just don't like it when they try to make others utter the words or suffer for declining to do so.
