Kodak CEO on CNBC this morning:

He said film revenues are expected to be stagnant for the upcoming year. People spend less on film during times like these. My overall impression was that Kodak has a very dismal outlook for the film business in the 6-12 month period.

He said people still wanted non-digital pictures due to 1) demand for physcial possession of the picture, 2) better quality of the non-digital picture, and 3) the difficulties in receiving a hard copy of photo from digital cameras.

He said Kodak had some patent protection regarding improvements in digital quality improvement, and a new initiative would be established to offer next day turnaround for hard copy pictures based upon digital photos.
