Hi Dan,

I read your plight about your new IE 4.0 installation alphabetizing your old bookmarks. You CAN drag and drop folders/links in the list to rearrange them.
However, I can recommend a shareware alternative for the "favorites" display panel in IE.

This plug-in displays your favorite folders and links in standard Win95 file tree format instead of the new drop-down panels. It also has a window to type a search-word to find a folder or bookmark.

InstantFavorites (for IE 4.0x):
nwlink.com

I have been running various builds of the Win 98 beta for the past 6 months, but it was only recently that I started reviewing the banter on this thread.

The way things have been unfolding in D.C. makes me wonder if, in the end, the DOJ will make Bill show up here personally to disect IE from my OS. ("lets see now... which files were they?")

Sorry, they can't have it back!
I appreciate this integrated platform, and look forward to using the new features in Win98 that link to the next generation of technologies.
