The large Falcon cluster has unique problems. For instance how much would it cost to open pit a 200 hectare size kimberlite sill, covered by a 100 metres of unconsolidated sand containing multiple water aquifers. Where do you put the water? Plus the hot spots of the kimberlite body being aimed at are much smaller than 200 hectares. It’s never been done before, RTZ is operating enthusiastically but it backed off De Beers, Newmont, and Cameco who together spent multiples more than $60 million.
