Well, to be fair to the media on this point, they were probably smarting from prematurely calling 2000

My recollection is that the MSM called Florida early for eGore. The polls were still open in the western part of Florida(more Republican) and the news might have discouraged voters from voting since Bush had already "lost".

Was this action by the MSM deliberate? Judging by their actions over the past several years one would have to conclude that it was deliberate. I don't know of any mistake by the MSM that benefited GWB or any other conservative candidate.
