"Intel's new chip (MERCED) uses a 0.18-micron process, the next
step beyond the 0.25-micron process. Cymer is currently the
only supplier of production level illumination sources for
.18 processes."

Merced will certainly be .18u. Since Micarscan-III's use Cymer
lasers, it's a pretty safe bet that, yes, they will be used to
make Merced. Intel has also said they will have Merced samples
out by the end of the year. None of this information is really new.
