Nick;

I sent an e-mail message to Netscape asking them how I might register or receive upgrades when beta is released. They sent me a message (by robot) that said whatever robot mail says when no one reads it. This kind of gives me an indication of how Netscape operates when they are in overload. Anyway, I'd need to 'down grade' to buy a licensed copy since I'm running beta 2.? on Win95.

Several of the corporations I deal with seem to have chameleon TCP/IP stacks and are leaning toward their products.

The DOJ comment is interesting. When Dbase (something Tate, remember them) sued Fox Software I looked at Fox and found them a much better product. The fact that they were sued to put them out of business (my opinion) rubbed me the wrong way. I never bought another dBase product and recommended Fox (Foxpro) everafter.

As a small business owner I have more experience with attorneys than I ever thought I needed. The fact that the DOJ has "messed around" with MSFT has a lot to do with why I buy MSFT products. I'm disappointed the Intuit deal didn't go through. If there is one thing we need in this country is leadership in software not just here but world wide. After all, if the phone company can wait 50+ years why not give MSFT a little more time.

Watch the show about attorneys tonight, then see if the DOJ (just a big attorney) needs to meddle in business. There are quite a few laws on the books to keep corporations in check.

Purchasing Netscape at current levels defies all logic, except momentum players and traders and I guess I'm a little envious of them because I don't have enough experience to play their game.
