When we sell someone a pack of 20 cigarettes, we certainly don't intend for them to smoke the entire pack in one day."

No doubt this absurd strategy has been considered and rejected by the tobacco industry after they contemplated the endless line of witnesses providing convincing testimony about the overwhelmingly addictive nature of tobacco. This strategy would backfire precisely because the average person recognizes that Sara Lee pound cake and cigarettes are fundamentally different products.

Obviously you have never quit smoking.....
