SLEU has already seen $35. Unless it does something absolutely phenomenal, does anyone seriously think it will ever see that price again?
Three months or so ago, I picked up a thousand shares each of SLEU and MCNS. SLEU was at $6.81, MCNS at $5.1250. To my horror, immediately after doing so I realized that both were OTC BB stocks -- which I had promised myself never to buy again. (But, hey, this stuff happens!)
Anyway, I watched both with some alarm. SLEU had a little run and I got out at just over $7. MCNS had a pretty good run, and I got out at $9, $12 and $14. It went to $22, but I still considered myself lucky.
If you aren't aware of the risks inherent to any BB stock, you should so educate yourself. They are extremely risky, one and all. All of them promise a Nasdaq listing, but few of them eventually achieve it. In the meantime, the investor is typically at the mercy of press releases, as opposed to accurate financial information, such as audited quarterly financial reports, and so on. (SETO is a BB stock that seems to be on the up and up, and I'm still down on it.)
I don't suggest there is anything fishy about either SLEU or MCNS. I'm happy to have made money on both. But in the end, BBs are BBs, and usually for some reason. I like the web sites for both companies, but I'm not encouraged by the quantity of ads I see on Mediconsult, nor by the fact that it's headquartered in Bermuda. One has to wonder why.
Anyway, I took my SLEU and MCNS money and put it into two "background" stocks, BILL and MSGI. Both are trading about $2 either side of MCNS at the moment, so you might want to give them a look. It'll cost you two or three shares of SLEU to get one of each.
MSGI appears to have already been "discovered," BILL appears to be on the verge, although neither are complete unknowns. As always, do your own DD.
For those who still like to play the BBs, there's always XNET and PUNK.
