This has been the most frustrating investment for me. They have had so many opportunities but they have never seized the moment. Why not? Because the Board and mgmt. don't have a clear vision nor the experience to execute a business plan. TMSS has some interesting technology but they've missed the explosive growth in the CD-ROM market and they are currently missing the internet market. I've grown wiser in my investments and I have invested in many startups. TMSS just doesn't get it. In technology you must move quickly and boldly. TMSS has always slowly moved into a product. They haven't been willing to aggresively spend money marketing. Whatever technology they have had they have never taken advantage of it. They won't sacriface a large percentage of the company to get a major strategic partner. The Board is outdated and provides little direction. The management is even more completely lacking without Dana Allen. No offense to Deborah Mosier but her background is accounting/finance. What should this company do? Sell themselves.
They are not going anywhere given their current board and mgmt. structure. The second choice is a major strategic alliance for a large equity stake. TMSS has some technology so it must be worth something to someone.
