CPI Aero Relocates to New, Larger Corporate Headquarters; Adopts New Name and Logo and Celebrates 25th Anniversary
EDGEWOOD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)----CPI Aerostructures, Inc. ("CPI Aero") (AMEX:CVU) today announced its relocation to new, larger headquarters located at 60 Heartland Blvd. in Edgewood, New York. The Company also has adopted "CPI Aero" as its new name for general business and marketing purposes, which has been incorporated into its new logo.
Commenting on the new headquarters, Edward J. Fred, CPI Aero's CEO & President, said, "In preparation for continued growth, we have relocated to a larger facility that is approximately 75,000 square feet, nearly twice the size of our former headquarters. We will utilize the additional space to execute several large, previously announced contracts we already have in house. In addition to being a prime contractor on military contracts for the U.S. Government, we are also now a major subcontractor to such aerospace and defense industry giants as Lockheed Martin, Vought and Northrop Grumman. The added space and functionality of our new location should support the anticipated growth that comes from all of these relationships well into the future."
Discussing the name change, Mr. Fred continued, "The Company informally has been known throughout the industry as CPI Aero, so the new business name and logo will be easily recognized by our customers and peers. In addition, our old name fit the CPI of the past, which was simply an assembler of parts. Our new name reflects CPI today: a prime contractor that is engaged in the more complex project management function."
Established in 1980 by executives who hailed from the nation's leading aerospace companies, CPI Aero marks its 25th year in business this month. In these twenty-five years, CPI Aero has completed and delivered on well over 1,900 contracts and has built an impressive customer base that includes the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Wright-Patterson AFB, Warner Robbins AFB, Hill AFB, Lockheed Martin, Vought and Northrop Grumman. |
