Can Ambarella Fly Without GoPro? (AMBA, GPRO) Looking Through a Different LensOn Tuesday, Morgan Stanley upgraded the Santa Clara, Calif.-based Ambarella, which makes chips used in GoPro Inc.'s ( GPRO) cameras, from equal weight to overweight with a $55 price target. The analysts noted that Ambarella can see significant growth even without the struggling action camera maker. "Other core growth segments such as autos, drones, consumer surveillance cameras, and wearables (ex GoPro) should continue to drive robust growth," Morgan Stanley analysts wrote in a note. The analysts also cited wearable camera chips sales as well as potential chip demand from the Chinese surveillance industry, which the analysts believe will rebound in the second half of the year. I swear if they quit working with GPRO the stock's gonna die.
