Manu, the reviews on Preferred have been mixed. As a Datek customer, though, I find Preferred incredibly fast and reliable. :)

I only use them for options, and they are very fast - typically a few seconds. I would definately go with the Delta Trader Pro application, rather than the web site, (as long as you don't have to go through a firewall), as you get real-time quotes with Pro, and you get VERY good feedback on the status of your order. (Kinda cool - the order changes colors as it goes through various phases.)

I also find them very easy to get through to on the phone, unless they are having system-wide problems. (I can NEVER get through to Datek!) So, if you are having problems with your ISP, can't get to a computer, etc. they are very good.

Their interface (both web and Pro) is quirky, and they don't update your equity during the day. (You can trade in and out multiple times during the day, but you have to keep track of your equity yourself!)
