Some people can only see the word "Republican" attached to shrub while failing to see that he is not a true Republican but a moronic fascist wannabe. Even so, many of these blinkered folks aren't so blinded as to see that there's a huge pile of stinking filth surrounding shrub.
It may not be too much to expect they'll realize from whence the pile issues.

From a letter by shrub supporters:

An open letter to President Bush:

We are honored that you are paying a return trip to Duluth, and we hope the weather is as nice for you as it was for Sen. Kerry on his recent visit to Cloquet. Frankly, the weather here has been downright cool for July so, in spite of your opposition to the Kyoto Treaty, would you please fix it?
Seriously, Mr. President, we have all been through a lot in the past four years. Although some of our neighbors do not, we continue to respect the office that you hold and wish you every success. We recognize that as the president fares, so fares the nation.
In particular, we remain hopeful that you and our armed forces will be able to bring the war in Iraq to a satisfactory conclusion. We have lost three young soldiers from the Northland, and it would compound the tragedy if they were to have died in vain.
Obviously, as president, you operate under a microscope. Your every move is dissected. We appreciate the loyalty and steadfastness you have shown during this difficult transition to democracy in the Middle East. However, as our leader, we would ask you to give further review to a couple of issues.
First, almost all of us around here, Democrat or Republican, are either embarrassed or outraged by the torturing of prisoners at Abu Ghraib. We don’t think it is realistic to blame privates or corporals, or even some reservist general, for what happened there. As the commander-in-chief, it is not a sign of weakness to hold the people you put in charge accountable.
Second, we continue to be troubled by the betrayal of the cover of CIA agent Valerie Plame. The columnist Robert Novak, who inadvertently broke the news, says that revelation came from someone high in your administration. You may think it is just politics, but either you are protecting one of your lieutenants unjustifiably or your staff is not leveling with you. Either way, it makes you look weak.
Third, while your sense of loyalty indicates you won’t, we would suggest that you at least consider changing running mates.
