no one should have been taken aback by the numbers because they were very clear that the prior pace could not be sustained. Both Ejabat and a VP, Bernie Schneider, openly stated that they couldn't do it. Schneider further indicated that they'd experienced competitive pressures during the 3rd quarter - although from what I could see they were able to recover somewhat in Q4.

Thus far we haven't toppled off the edge of the world insofar as profitability and volume growth are concerned - even with the fact that high priced, high margin items haven't contributed to Q4 and the year. The margin factor is extremely important - as much as the volume growth factor, and I think the analysts (both in the funds and the brokerages)give that aspect great weight.

With TNT now going out the door in volume and GRF400 soon to be, with all of the congestion problems we hear almost daily, I have no doubt that their growth will continue apace. If margins can be maintained or even strengthened the eps will follow.

Too soon for their to be egg on your face, Leuthy, and Q1 may give us a better feel for the accuracy of your predictions (on the other thread). You'll forgive me if I say that I hope and believe you'll be proven very wrong, L.
