Derek yes we do owe them the respect... but most of all we should never forget how and why they did it. Back then I'm sure it was more like joining...rather than hiring on. We still see the blues and greens in the sky on occassion. Geez only if I could spell! But yes they are still poking holes in the sky from launch pads in southern Cal. The sixties were boom days as you say. <gg>
