Missed responding to you on this one; all excellent points. Regarding Sun moving ahead on software I refer you to this post: Message 9236415 For Sun to address the PC NT/Linux invasion they need to reduce margins on their workstations now. This will at least make them price competitive to PC's. They also need to bundle/address the office desktop suite of products that UNIX currently lacks. Java office suites are starting to appear but they are in their infancy compared to MS Office. Then maybe jazz up the presentation and marketing (like iMac) somehow to appeal to the masses; look what Apple has done over the last year.
