First, they didn't "trash" it; at least not in the way that it was initially reported. That's why the had to RETRACT those stories. Got that.

Secondly, no, it's not ok. But it is a matter of perspective and priorities. It was a lot worse to claim that they "trashed" the White House and "stripped" Air Force One when it turns out that it was minor damage and a few prank notes AND THEN to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars investigating, writing reports and cataloging the minor damage.

We had, and have, better things to do. That's one of my main problems with this new breed of righteous, do-gooder, judgmental Republicans. They're just too stupid to run things in Congress or in the White House.

But then I'm not a moralist or an idealist, I'm a pragmatist. Is that a sin?
