I am watching Gary Berntsen, the former CIA field commander during the Afghan takedown, on "Tim Russert." He is flogging his book "Jawbreaker," and he is very impressive. He had Bin Ladin pinned in Tora Bora, and couldn't get 800 Rangers to close the sack on him. It was a Centcom screwup, as I thought at the time. He is very concerned about keeping General Pervez Musharraf, the President of Pakistan, in power. He says Musharraf wants Osama killed, and that he is hiding with the tribes on the Afghan/Pak border. Musharraf can survive him dying if it's a missile strike.
