Really. You mean to say that France and Germany are playing with NATO, US national security, and their own national security, just because they feel like it; not because they have their own interests to protect. Chirac and Schroeder deserve to be vilified if that is what they are doing. I thought you was on their side.

Since the demise of Soviet Russia, they no longer are dependent on us for military support.

The soviet union may be down, but it is not out. Don't forget, that out of the three, Russia will gain the most with turmoil in the middle east. Russia sells several million barrels of oil a day, and if oil goes to $40/ bar. Russia could end its money problems, be at a serious advantage when negotiating deals, and throw the west into a serious recession. Both France and Germany won't have their economic might to throw around for long if Russia gets it way.

Well, you need to start looking at what we're doing wrong and stop trying to blame Clinton or Carter or the Dems or Germany or France or Saddam or whomever you can come up with for our troubles.Mr. Bush has gotten us into a mess and he best get us out of it while taking a crash course on international diplomacy.
