Jenna,

I entirely agree with Irby. While trading is a game and fun, you still must give it 120%. While your work day might unofficially end at 4pm, it is an incredibly intense workday. These stocks turn on a dime and we are talking about serious dollars here. Its intense and requires sharp, finely honed nerves. Many traders i have known hit a wall sooner or later and often start pushing positions and trades instead of letting them come naturally, as their skill sets have led to for so often.

The best thing to do is to take a few days off. Do something fun and relaxing away from the markets, or as far as you can get, although I have been known to sneak a few trades in from the beach. As a trader, let your cash earn interest for a few days. The break will refresh you and you will make back your missed days' profits.

I didn't read the whole whole discussion with Robert G. but I did see that you had done very well yet had that bad trade. Bad trades do occur. Most importantly, learn from your experience, figure out what you did wrong, etc. and never let it happen again. Make the trade mean something more than the cash you lost. You will make that back many times over in the years to come. They can't all be winners. Control the losers, though.
