Your comments about NOK's strategy in Dec 99 speaks volumes about their internal logic. Instead of NOK spending ~$1bil or so to take a potential lead in cdma handsets by purchasing Q's handset division, obtaining a 3G license and buying qcom asics until they get their own right - they spend $1.5 billion to buy back their stock - and are still watching the game being played from the stands.
