Fingolfen "I looked at S.1940, and apart from some of the nastier ramifications" Congratulations for reading S 1940, forgive me if I defer. I have to admit that I am confused after reading the article. According to the article the point of the legislation is to reduce the corporate tax deduction to the amount that the corporation DISCLOSES as option expense on the financial statements. The sneaker is that the amount of the option expense disclosure on the financial statements is limited by current accounting rules, which will in turn limit the tax deduction. The net effect of reducing the amount of the tax deduction will have a significant effect on the Cash Flow statement not the Profit and Loss Statement. I have a feeling this particular piece of legislation will look a lot different later on.
