Aside from the whole terrorist angle, you can't let someone like Hussein get nukes and sit on a huge oil reserve like that. If you think the shakedown North Korea is engaging in (and has before) is bad, just think what he could do.

Plus all of the humanitarian and terrorist reasons to boot.


I just don't think he will get nukes. Like I said in my prior post, our containment is not confined to weapons inspections. He is restricted on how much money he can raise. Nuclear components are expensive on the regular market; on the black market, prices are horrific. All the intelligence reports that I've read conclude he doesn't have nukes and is not close to getting them.

Again, I don't think you will agree but you should know I think the Europeans hold a similar view. I think that accounts for the schism between Bush and them.
