Another interesting thing which may or may not be relevant

The moving average of the put/call hit a high during the late 1998 scare, it hit a low in late March of 2000, it hit a high again in October of last year. It has been trending up steadily since March of 2000 and is now moving up again.

I guess the move could reverse or dissipate before the market does anything but it sure looks as if something more bullish is in the making.

The S&P started to flatten out a bit and looked like it could have turned up but then it decided to keep going down. I'm still waiting for the monthly MACD to become positive so it's good that it's somewhat less negative than it was awhile back.
