Another interesting thing which may or may not be relevant stockcharts.com[l,a]daclnyay[d19970101,20021211][pb50!b20!a.9!a300][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9]&pref=G The moving average of the put/call hit a high during the late 1998 scare, it hit a low in late March of 2000, it hit a high again in October of last year. It has been trending up steadily since March of 2000 and is now moving up again. I guess the move could reverse or dissipate before the market does anything but it sure looks as if something more bullish is in the making. The S&P started to flatten out a bit and looked like it could have turned up but then it decided to keep going down.
