rick, be careful. times are changing. amd and cyrix make cpus that are "good enough" for most applications. they have great pentium and mmx level chips. they are much cheaper. sub $1k pcs are the fastest growing segment of pcs. by far! pricing of components becomes paramount. amd and cyrix will win over the long haul. intel must innovate. but, alas, there must be a need for innovation. why pay 30% more for a computer that is imperceptively faster less than 5% of the time? the answer is in intel's falling eps.
