Risk adjusted basis is gaining more popularity and that is when the discount rate change depending on perceived risk of investment. Analysts do not post pricing formulas but rather quick proxies and the average of those , fair or not, define commonly used 1st call numbers. re: Was AMD transitioning in Q4? I think they did something but I am not sure of the scale. re: AMD did not have enough money to upgrade Fab25. I doubt that flash is more profitable than uPs. agree about the flash but amd postponed the building of new flash fab which was in planned for. If amd would upgrade fab 25 for chip production then they would also probably build another fab for flash. I believe amd got plenty of credit so the decision was made not because of the lack of funds. re: they issued stock in exchange to retire the debt owners did exercise the warrants, true, but those were there to begin with so I fail to see the point here? re: This is a dumb comment, but if one is loosing money on flash, why convert another fab to produce flash? Just doesn't make sense. it is fairly logical question. I do not know the details but amd did slow down their flash capacity build-up substantially. But, I guess, amd expects flash to recover. Plus to my best understanding fab 25 is not 100% cpu as it is right now already. re: I didn't know the Hammer would incorporate Video, etc. I am not aware of that either. My point was that there is still very few details about hammer and who knows what it got. Regards -Albert
