Well, I'm not going to pass judgment on Ms. Dupré, nor do I find her the least bit interesting. I do find Mrs. Spitzer interesting. She stood by her man publicly, but privately I be she's teaching him some new names and giving him some new bruises in plaes that don't show. Dr. Laura suggested that while a jerk is a jerk, men who find it necessary to do what Spitzer did are often not getting (nor necessarily giving to) the kind of attention they need from their spouses. I think it is simpler than that. I think it is simply a question of arrogant hubris. Mrs. Spitzer might have it too, although I have no reason to believe that she does.
