CNN: In the technology sector, Intel could see active
trading. Its stock fell 7 to 91 in pre-open trading as
Merrill Lynch cut its rating from "buy" to "near-term
neutral," according to Reuters sources.
Autodesk, a maker of computer-aided design software, announced after markets closed Thursday its second-quarter income was up 68 percent,
beating Wall Street's expectations. Its stock (ADSK)lost 9/16 to 46-3/16 Thursday.
Network software firm Novell said its third-quarter losses totaled $122 million. The results were partially attributed to restructuring costs for the company. Shares of Novell (NOVL) were down 1/16 to 8-1/8.

We should consider ourselves lucky that NOVL is not trading at $98. Imagine the impact on all of us if the stock was downgraded by MC and dropped $7.
